Advice for new desktop

This will be my 4th DS system! Last desktop build was 2007 and have two laptops. Looking to return to a desktop.

You didn't mention the monitor resolution but the gtx 1080 will play at 1080p, 1440p and maybe 4k since Falcon BMS isn't all that demanding.   I've played that a lot up until few years ago, along with DCS titles, Falcon 4, with TM Cougar and Track IR.       Not sure about future sims, however.    Looks good to me.

Thanks ! A lot of the selections were made after researching your responses in other threads . One thing I left out is would this set up work with dual 1080p monitors or dual 1440p?

You could wait for next month when the gtx 1080ti is released. It'll supposedly outperform the Titan X Pascal for less money and will be the top dog.    It's a 4k card for single card rigs.     Time will tell. Dual 1440p for higher demanding shooters would usually need sli 1080 for the highest settings, but flight sims tend to me a lot less demanding..   I haven't done any testing since the gtx 570 days, so I'm going by benches I've seen.
