Advice for new rig

I am new to the computer gaming world i play xbox and want to switch over to the computer scene.  So i will be playing a little bit of everything.  I need advice on what resolution to use and what size monitor i should get one large or or two smaller ones?

Well you need to match your gpu power to the monitor's native res, so first I guess we need to know what the budget is for the monitor.

and yes we need to make changes to your config.

When looking for a monitor, number one thing is picture quality, ips panels have the best, checkout this one:

its a great deal for an ips.

if thats is gonna be the monitor then the res is around 1900 x 1200.

so the next question becomes, do you want to leave room for sli (more expensive) or not, both ways should be under budget, however there is no point on spending money on things one never uses, so think about this carefully, what we are talking about here is giving one gpu but have a system that can support 2, so that in the future you see you want more gpu power, you can drop in a second.

upgrades down the road are adding more ram if you need it and, In a few month buy a ssd and use that for HDD1 for OS/Games/Apps, and push the 1TB to HDD2 and use it for storage.

I'm sorry maybe I'm too tired, but I'm not understanding what you are asking here, could you please clarify a bit, thank you.

Also is there another part that may cost a little more but will be better for the setup?

With the timing of my purchase and release of fix in mid march would they just put the new part in?

well i guess i will wait and just call them tomorrow and see whats going on!! How long does it usually take for a build like this to be processed? 

NO OS boost makes no difference in apps/games speeds.

the build itself normally takes like 3 to 5 days to go from scratch to shipping.
