What resolution you using? A 6990 is a loud beast I have heard and is a dual gpu card which has internal CF that most people here dont recommend. May want to look at a 570 or 2 instead and you really want an upgraded cpu cooler like a noctua.

24 inch so more then likely 1920 1080. 6990 has internal crossfire. I have a 580 I know its overpriced but it also eats everything at that res. If you dont sli you can drop to a 750w corsair as well.

thats all wrong, you don't have a cpu cooler, the 6990 is a dual card, which means its in internal cf, and you are only getting 2GB of ram per gpu, 2 x 6970 will easily beat it.

So either change your gpu to a 6970, with plans to add another down the line if needed, or go with a 570, with the same plan, add a second 570 if needed.

get teh Noctua NH-U12P for your cpu cooler, and change your ram to DS ones, for ram it won't matter much, for psu it does.
