Is it bad to go with gtx 590? If i do, would that count as single card LC or duel since its 2 cards in one? Should I stick with the 570's? Do I really really need LC for the graphics cards? I want to try and get some sort of LC, but I'm debating if I need it on the graphic cards. Also I only chose 2gb of ram bc I was going to purchase some from newegg, I can take the 2gb out of the price if I tell them too correct? Lastly, I'll prob wait for g3 ssd's so that'll be in there too. Anymore advice is greatly appreciated, thanks guys. |

590 is in internal sli, this means they have less performance and more heat then 2 single cards in sli, so 2 single cards is always the best option.
you don't need LC on anything, but its great to have IMO, plus 90% of the noise comes from your gpu's fans when under load, with LC they are not there, you still got the noise from the rad fans, but if you customize a bit you can make the LC system a great quiet performer. I belive they can take out the ram but then I'm not sure how they will go about doing your oc, IMHO with your budget, its best you get 4GB here and add 4GB later yourself, so that you have your ram settings and can just follow what is already there. gen 3 are out, looks like the same performance as gen 2, some areas better but the price is the most attractive, you get gen2 performance or better at a lower price. |

Thanks so much for the reply, I will stick with the sli and add the RAM as well.
by customize, do you mean adjust fan speeds? Also, what are the new ssds called, i'm confused with all the 310, 320, 510's i see. Thanks Edited by peteyfresh12 - 29 Mar 2011 at 9:56am |

IMHO you are asking for a huge potential problem with the RAM, I would get 8Gb from Digital storm and call it good, the money you save buy getting some at newegg will not cover your frustrations/problems down the road. unless you are familiar with adjusting RAM timings, BIOS voltages, and running CPU/RAM stress tests.

You can always just call DS and have them help you add the new ram if you don't feel comfortable, or add it now as justin said. the intel ssd you want is the 320, the bigger they are the better their speeds. buy customizing teh LC system I mean telling them to use particular rads and fans. |

sure both me and justin like triple rad for cpu and gpus.
but you decide if you want single/double or triple, triple should give you best temps but for mild oc, double or triple should be good to go. for rad you want to ask for xspc rx series rad or feser, then you put Scythe gentle typhoon fans on them, this should equal to a quiet LC system that performs well. |

Thanks! In your pic i noticed you had the rad in the back outside of case. Is that something that you just wanted, if i get stage 6 will all rads fit into the case?
Just not exactly sure how they do the LCS. Edited by peteyfresh12 - 30 Mar 2011 at 8:42am |

I have triple 120mm feser rad on the inside top for the cpu and then you see the triple 140mm rad for the four gpus.
I'm not sure what size rads stage 6 comes in, I believe you get smaller rads so they should fit inside of your case, but if you want two triple rads, then one has to go outside, as there will be no room. |

I like a dual/ or double radiator per GPU, as a minimum.

Can't really argue with more/bigger rads for better temps

IMHO for your use, a triple for cpu and a triple for dual sli gpu is plenty. for tri sli and higher I would start to look at quad or dual quad.

You don't have to wait, you can always add that in later yourself, easy to do.

NO NO, no reason to reinstall, to move the os/apps/everything in one shot, you just clone the current drive to the ssd, make sure the clone works and then use the ssd for HDD1 and push the current drive to HDD2 for storage.
I upgrade my drives all the time without reinstall, who has the time to redo everything. you can follow my clone guide here |

Hey, I found this card,
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127564&cm_re=GTX_570-_-14-127-564-_-Product&nm_mc=AFC-C8Junction&cm_mmc=AFC-C8Junction-_-na-_-na-_-na&AID=10446076&PID=3754110&SID=skim1132X509988X3e0a43cc5d2d6281c2f34149b7042024 I decided to do LC just for cpu because of future upgrades of gpu. I'm gonna sli them, but is this card good? I was wondering if its problematic to DS if I selected ill install my gpu's. do they do anything special, or can i just do it myself? thanks |

I like evga better, don't know much about that card, I'm not sure, but I don't think you should have any problem doing sli with it.
you can install your own gpu/s, thats not a problem. but if I'm not mistaken, the difference is not much tho and with them testing it/installing it, IMO is better then getting your cards and having them be doa or having to rma one or both. Edited by DST4ME - 06 Apr 2011 at 2:02am |
