Looks good to me, but you don't need DS to disable and tweak the OS because it comes in bloat free and you won't really know what they will disable.

Looks your build comes in at around $2200. To be honest, I would go for the L4 Vanquish for only $1369. Same CPU, same storage (120GB SSD + 1TB HDD), better GPU (GTX 770 vs 760). Both use closed loop water coolers. With the money you're saving, you can upgrade your monitor, mouse, keyboard etc. and still have money left over. 8GB is more than enough for gaming (besides you can easily add 8GB more), a Blu-ray player can be added cheaply and a sound card can be installed quickly and inexpensively. Even with all these add-ons, you'll have spare cash to buy some new games!! I can't see any real reason in spending $800 more for less...
Oh yeah, don't forget the FREE t-shirt!! Edited by fstcvc - 05 Nov 2013 at 8:45pm |

I do like that option but I was thinking in the future I might want sli and the vanquisher mobo doesnt support it. Should I go up to the level 2 ode and put my addons there or what?

Unless your gaming on something higher than a 1080p monitor, I'd go with the single 770 and skip the SLI all together. In a few years just upgrade to a better single GPU that will outperform the SLI 760 (you can put the money you're saving now away to buy that future upgrade!). Running multiple GPUs is designed for hi-res displays or multi-monitor setups to help push all the pixels. You always want the best single GPU you can get as not all games will support SLI and then your graphics will suffer...

Hi swimmer.... First off, I agree with all fstcvc recommended. If you don't sli up front then you probably won't. And the Vanquish 4 is best bang for the buck.
But, I do like your build better and if in your budget, then go for it. The ODE 600t case is a better quality case with better cooling. It also allows you to pick other components. If you want sli or wifi or Thunderbolt capability then keep the mobo. Otherwise you can save money and go with a non- sli mobo. The custom build also allows DS to install the Blu-Ray and sound card up front if that is more in your comfort zone. I would suggest going with the EVGA 750 supernova power supply. . A better psu with longer warranty and fully modular, meaning the wiring stays put if psu swap is needed. Also, the h100i is a nice cooler and very popular, but the air coolers, like Hyper212 or Noctua D14 , although larger, are quiet, cool great and tops in reliability. No pumps, tubing or Cosair link software needed to control fan speeds. If you can swing it the gtx 770 is about 20% better but the 760 will also game real nice. Hope this helps and good luck.
