Hi all,
I'm trying to build a new computer and after shopping around I figure I'll use DS. They have the best customer service and thats really a decision-maker for me. Anyway, I have about $2900 to play with and this is what i've come up with:

or

Chassis Model: Cooler Master HAF 932
Exterior Finish: - Standard Factory Finish
Interior Finish: - Standard Factory Finish
Trim Accents: - Standard Factory Finish
Processor: Intel Core i7 920 2.66GHz (Quad Core)
Motherboard: EVGA X58 Classified 3X SLI (Intel X58 Chipset) (Supports Triple SLI or CrossFire)
System Memory: 6GB DDR3 1600MHz Corsair Dominator DHX (High-Performance)
Power Supply: 1000W Corsair HX (Dual/Triple/Quad SLI Compatible) (Silent Edition)
Card Reader: - No Thanks
Hard Drive Set 1: Operating System: 1x (1TB Western Digital (7200 RPM) (16MB Cache) (SATA) (Extreme Speed)
Set 1 Raid Options: - No Thanks
Hard Drive Set 2: Multimedia\Data: - No Thanks
Hard Drive Set 3: Backup\Misc.: - No Thanks
Optical Drive 1: DVD±R/RW/CD-R/RW (DVD Writer 20x / CD-Writer 48x)
Optical Drive 2: Blu-Ray Player/DVD Writer (Play Blu-Ray and Burn DVDs)
Internet Access: High Speed Network Port (Supports High-Speed Cable / DSL / Network Connections)
Video Card: 1x NVIDIA GeForce GTX 275 896MB (Includes PhysX Technology)
Sound Card: Integrated Motherboard Audio
Extreme Cooling: AIR: Stage 2: Noctua NH-U12P High Performance Cooler (Compatible With ONLY i7 Processors)
Chassis Airflow: Upgrade Chassis With Zalman Performance Fans (Up to 6 Fans) Internal Lighting: Internal Chassis Lighting System (Red)
Boost Processor: Stage 1: Overclock the processor between 3.3GHz to 3.9GHz (Requires Air Cooling Upgrade)
Boost Video Card: - No Thanks, Please do not overclock my video card(s)
Boost Memory: - No Thanks, Please do not overclock my memory
I'm planning on getting the monitor, mouse, keyboard and sound card through a third party and doing those myself. Also, i'm pondering the PCTV card though i'm hesitant due to the fact pinnacle no longer has a PCTV card division ( bought by hauppage) and will offer no support for the one off DS.
Also, i'm planning on making the actual purchase on July 2nd for a few reasons. First and foremost, that's the start day for free upgrades from Vista to windows 7 on 7's release. The other is personal financing choice, to make sure i don't bankrupt myself doing it.
Monitor i'm planning to get has a recommended resolution of 1920x1200 if you're curious and I was planning on getting the Asus Xonar Essence sound card. I would also love some speaker recommendations.
I tend to play MMO's but I'd like to be able to try out Crysis and the newer games, i'm running on a POS atm Wink

For some reason a lot of people here dont like blu-ray players on their build. I got one on mine because we want to watch blu-rays in our room at night vs. the living room. I say, if you have blu-rays and will use the computer as a player, get it. It's a personal preference/usage type of thing.

Yay! I got very close to a setup DST wouldn't change :P

Ok, I can agree with the 500gb hard drive downgrade, makes sense given i'm planning on getting SSD drives when they get cheaper. Though why a memory fan kit as opposed to the Zalman fan upgrade? I was under the impression the HAF 932 had poor overall air flow and needed help, as well that there are issues with the Classified's NSF200 overheating given it's position unless you have sufficient side cooling (e.g. the extra 4 fans on the side instead of 1 big one). If i'm wrong or you think the memory fan will keep it sufficiently cool while also being more silent, please advise.

if there is a problem with your temp and the classified, DS will inform you and catch it during testing.

you want the ram fan to help you with the northbridge cooling, the reason we kept the 1600MHz instead of 1333 is to help classified with its heat issue. the haf's fans are great, you would only want the the fan upgrade if you are gonna quad sli or tri sli or if your room temp is above 75c.

if you feel more comfortable with upgrading the fans so ahead but keep the ram fan and remember the haf is a great case because of its airflow first.
