hi guys, this system will mainly be used for MMO gaming but i may also dabble into some FPS shooter type games as well. I am looking for a system that will last me a good 3 years and also capable of playing today's technology at high settings as well as near future games.
I am not a computer expert by any means. In fact i consider myself quite a newb but i have been doing alot of reading on these forums so i think i came up with something pretty good. my budget is around 2k and i plan to use a 1900x1200 monitor. my main question is on the hard drive. I put in a SSD 80gig and a 2nd HD of a 500gb. is this a wise thing or should i just skip out on the SSD and get the plain 500gb. I am on sort of a budget (trying to stay around 2k-2500) and if i get rid of the SSD ill be pretty much where i wanted to be cost wise, but i hear so many good things about the SSD. Should i just upgrade to one later? how does that work? do u just sent ur system back to DS for them to install it? anyways please give me honest advice and any changes i should make. Also i will still need to purchase the monitor and grab a keyboard as well. Your buid looks good, you've done your homework.
For sure get the SSD as long as it doesn't cause you to skimp on a monitor. Your monitor is like 70% of the experience, right? (Could look at HP ZR24W)
Know the micro has room only for 2 video cards and nothing else. Your type gaming, you won't want 2 card anyway, but you should know.
The warranty has gone to 1yr parts/3yrs labor in Special Deals. The 3/3 available only in Black OPS is a pretty pricy option now. I think it's out of balance, because your system would cost ~ $500 more as a Black OPS.
Don't forget free game and T-shirt! Good luck.
