Hey, i'm looking for some advice on the build listed below. I'll be using the PC for gaming purposes. I hope to be running "recent" games on high/vhigh with a 1920x1200 or 1920x1080 res. I will also be recording with fraps, editing videos in Sony Vegas, using Adobe products, and live streaming gameplay.
I won't be overclocking my CPU or GPU myself, unless I get bored at some point.
My budget is rougly 5k.
I'm having trouble figuring out what kind of data drive to purchase. It will be filled with games, and raw fraps footage (to be compressed). I understand the priced of hdds have skyrocketed, but I can't see any other viable alternative. I've got an external 2tb for movies/music so I don't need to worry about those taking up any space on my pc.
As for ram, 16gb is excessive I know, but I don't see the 8gb dominator GT option listed anymore.

Ask for vcore lower then 1.4 for your oc.

Ask DS specifically for this fan to be added to the top, so you endup with 4 x 200mm fans:

haf 200mm non led fan

for dual sli you don't need to be on the x79, and for gaming you don't need the 3960x, but I left those for you anyways.
