you need liquid cooling since you selected stage 2 overclock.
i would just select stage 1 overclock with air cooling like the v8 or noctua.

don't like the mobo
no need for the more expensive ram psu is not good not sure if we discussed whether you need 2 x 5870. you have chosen factory cpu cooler which is the lowest cooler possible, then you piced stage 2 oc. 1. you don't need stage 2 oc 2. you can't do stage 2 oc unless you have stage 3 LC or higher. Noctua NH-D14 is a great cooler but DS won't do stage 2 with it, and as I said you don't need stage 2. if you want xp mode go with win7 pro. Edited by DST4ME - 15 Feb 2010 at 12:49am |

asus is not good anymore, their tech support sucks, that board has nothing for you gain over a evga, I have configed a few builds for you by now, so from them you know what board to get.
for ram just pick the regular 6GB DS ram. for psu depends on your parts, but a 1000w corsair will do tri sli for you, again I have configed enough systems for you to look at and see which psu I had picked each time. crysis the 2 x 5870 will help you, gta4 needs a single card with over 1.5GB of ram otherwise you will run out of memory, and no the 5970 and 295 do not have that much ram since they are not single cards, they are in internal sli/cf. just keep in mind you are not gonna be able to max them out with high aa, even with 2 x 5870. |
