1) Chassis Airflow: LED Performance Fans - Are these better performing fans than the default?  Can the LED be turned off or on when needed, or is it permanently on?

2) Chassis Airflow: Zalman Performance Fans - Are these better than the LED and default fans?

3) Internal Lighting: Internal Chassis Lighting System - Can the internal lighting be turned off or on when needed, or is it permanently on?  Do they cause glare if you are sitting in the wrong place, such as having the light shining directly in view?

1 not better depending on the case, no you cant turn off the LED

2 just choose a good case and stick with stock cooling

3 can turn off / on with a switch on the back of the pc and not sure what you mean about glare.. i mean, you would have to have the case set up to where you were sitting between the monitor and the tower? i guess in that case it could cause glare, but who sits like that?

I mostly just mean the possiblity of the light shining directly in your eyes depending where you are sitting relative to the case.  But I guess it isn't an issue if the lights can simply be turned off with a switch.

Are all of the 'internal lighting' connected to the same switch, even if you get more than the 1 set for $10?

no, each seperate set comes with its own switch, and i undestand what you mean now, and the best answer is yes, these tubes are pretty bright depending on your prefernces and how many other lights you have on when using the pc.. so it just matters where the case is and where the tubes get installed

for example, i have the case below me on a wooden slab, my red lights are on the side and top of the case, but my green lights are on the side and bottom, so the green lights shine much more toward my eyes with the case in that location, but the red would shine more in my eyes if the case was up on my desk

Excellent info, thanks.

Does this mean that I can get 3 sets of colors, and then simply change the color I see by turning 1 color's switch on and leaving the other 2 color's switches off?

For example, if I want red today, I turn on the red's switch, and leave the green's and blue's switches off?

thats what i did with my build, i actually got the cathodes for my build from DS so you would have the same options
only difference in my case is that i got the HAF blue, which comes with blue led fans, which not only makes the case lighting bounce better but allows better blending
(no, the blue led fans from ds are not the same as this option, those are 120mm zalman fans)
