Sorry to bother you Alex but why won't the direct links to post work on this forum?
for example this is a direct link to your post in a thread but if you click it it only loads the actuall thread it does not go your specific post: this should go directly to your post which is the last post in this thread but it does not I checked with opera/ff and chrome and all yield the same results. If I'm missing something sorry for wasting your time.

I've had this issue for a few years, where just clicking the direct link button doesn't work.
However, a workaround I've found is just to just add the post number to the end of the address with a #. For example, in your post post above, just adding "#297877" without the quotes to the end will take you to the specific quote. Example - direct link to Alex's post I don't remember how I figured that out, or when, but it's a band-aid if nothing else. |

Ya I know about that "trick" but the actuall problem is this: below is how it is linked right now: http://www.digitalstorm.com/forums/dst4me-count-to-1-million-tidf28070-pidf297877/ notice at the end pidf297877/? Well that is wrong, whoever is the forum's "config admin" (I'm sure this is not Alex) has configured the board wrong. Below is the correct form it should display, its missing the # and the whole string in that section is wrong, below is how it is suppose to be: http://www.digitalstorm.com/forums/dst4me-count-to-1-million-tidf28070-pidf/#297877 Notice I corrected the way pidf297877/ is suppose to display to the correct way pidf/#297877 and now it works. Another forum suggestion....when clicking the format buttons such as Bold, italic, hyperlink, etc it should affect the highlighted text or enter in the BBCode where the cursor is placed instead of at the end. MAKE THIS HAPPEN!

Good news, the developer team has fixed the bug with the post direction, it will now work even without the "#" sign hack.
We'll have to save the BBCode thing for another day.
