2 more days and Vanquish Level 4 should be in my hands! Though as I was browsing I found another website selling a build with equivalent specs with the same price as mine but with an RTX2080 as the gpu! I felt very regretful for a little while until I did some digging and found out the provider was not known to have that great of customer support and that some of their builds did not last as long as they should. I was so much more at ease! I mean... I did make the correct choice right?

Yes. I think buyer's remorse is a common thing with large purchases, especially before you actually get said purchase and quickly forget about being remorseful and instead focus on your new beast of a rig. If the other company is known for not having good support and build quality, then you likely dodged a massive bullet by going with DS. I'd even go so far to say that customer service/build quality are worth far more than the nicest GPU on the market, because you can have the best GPU in the world but when the PC is dead on arrival and turns into a massive lemon, well that GPU won't do you much good.

Thank you so much for the response! That helps me feel much better ^_^. Also change that to 7 days? UPS has somehow added 5 days to my order. Shame

Unlike you, I went the other direction and went with said company with questionable CS since their exact same build was $1000 cheaper. It arrives on Thursday, so I won't know until then whether I screwed up or not.
My buyers remorse is not going with DS for my third system, but that price differences was just too large to ignore. Edited by txfeinbergs - 16 Oct 2018 at 11:17am |

OP, the V7 L4 will blow you away in appearance and performance. You'll look back at this post and laugh.

For what its worth, both my DS rigs from 2010 and 2013 are still chugging along like pros. So I think you made the right choice.

Just as a personal anecdote, I'm still running the 2013 Vanquish 2 level 4 and only upgraded the GPU to a 1070. Still every bit as amazing as it was 4.5 years ago when I picked it up. Although I did add another SSD because games are big. |

Wow! I did not expect this kind of longevity. I'm curious how they do it.

Still have my ODE , the Vanquish of that era, running from 2011. New graphics card and psu, but still chugging away.

Quality parts, quality build and quality builders. As I've said on numerous occasions, Digital Storm is more interested in building a customer than it is in just making a sale. This is why they do their best to put out the best products... we know we're going to get a good machine, again, so why waste time with the other builders? |

I'm beginning to think that GPU's are like the tires of our cars... they ARE going to wear out so we need to replace them. We don't have to replace the entire car just because we have a bald tire. As long as the motor is still fine and functional, why change? |

I would agree re: GPUs.. though the 2 GTX 580s I have in Mr. Bojangles that have performed for nearly 8 years without issue probably beg to differ with me.

well, since there are two you've probably been rotating them, right? Makes them last longer.
