Hey all, I based this build of an article on Pcgamer.com:

https://www.pcgamer.com/gaming-pc-build-guide/

I went with the i5 to save a little cash to put towards the GPU and I am only gaming on this, nothing else other than some web surfing. I also only got 500 GB SSD for the OS and my favorite games, I have other drives I'll install for storage.

My main concern is a possible bottleneck with the GPU and CPU. I don't need to have 120 FPS on games either but I do figure I'll update my CPU first eventually.

Thanks for looking!

Good budget build in the Lumos that should play very well! Very upgradable selection.

You mentioned first upgrade would be CPU.
I would suggest another less expensive upgrade is to make use of your much faster M.2 drive slots on your motherboard using an M.2 NVME Drive.   NVME drives use the speedier PCIE bus that video cards use... while the SSD you got shares the slower SATA III bus. An easy and relatively inexpensive performance upgrade you can do yourself.

Your CPU will not bottleneck you for years. You may be getting a whole new rig before that happens. 4.6 Ghz on Turbo is very fast. On single core bench testing, which matters most for gaming, it's neck and neck with the i7 8700k. And not very far behind overall. Your video card will be super at 1080p, also for years. I'm on year 8 gaming at 1080p, and very happy still.

PS: It's better than you think!
