I’m not technically inclined to work on computers because when I do, shot goes wrong. Anyways, I ordered a pretty beefy rig, and I wonder if I should get the bolt x.
I live in Montana, so I’m not sure I’m comfortable with getting liquid cooled I wanted it but just worried about leaks, sending it back etc. I mean I could get the same build in the bolt x, but I feel like I’m hindered to one PCI .. My build is Lumos 32 GB RAM I9 9900 K 2080 RTX Ti AIO 280 MM liquid cooled M.2 1 TB M.2 2 TB 1000 Watt power supply. Asus Rog Godlike MB Will this be a better future proof build? I am not overclocking CPU’s ro GPU!’s because I want it to be relatable. Or I could get the liquid cooled bolt x for same price, but then I’m bound for maintence and one PCI ... |

No worries! I have never heard of a Corsair AIO cooler leaking. Because they build those coolers never to be opened, they can use way thick tubing and seal all the connections permanently. Your machine will likely retire long before that sealed cooler does...lol. Any problem with an AIO cooler...you just replace it with another one...no fuss.
Even with a Bolt cooler, it would be a year or two before you would even need to top off the coolant, likely much much longer before any real maintenance would be needed. One of my DS rigs is finally looking like it needs a coolant change out...works fine, but coolants a little discolored...it’s a 2012 rig. I still don’t have to do anything, I just can see it’s about time. Worry about other components.

I guess I’m asking if AIO setup is just as good versus liquid cooling |

Nope the AIO solution isn't really meant to be equal to a full water cooled setup. It's meant to offer excellent simplified cooling at a cheaper price, with no maintenance.....If performance dips, you replace the AIO unit. No fuss no muss.
In a full water setup you generally will have options to decide on like tubing type & color, quick disconnect connections, radiator size options, pump options, larger reservoirs of coolant, and options for higher quality water blocks. Those options offer much greater cooling capacity & performance than AIO units. When it's needed, these reservoirs can be topped off to replace a small loss of naturally evaporated coolant.... something you can't do for a sealed AIO. That's normally all they will need done for years. At some point after several years they may need to be flushed of old coolant and new coolant added. If that is not your cup of tea, then AIO coolers are definitely the best choice. |

I think your Lumos build will do the job nicely for you.
