Hardware Canuks have the numbers up, the high end 6970 pretty much performs the same as the GTX570 in a fps tests and falls about 14% to 19% below the GTX 580

The cheaper lower end Cayman card blows the GTX 470 away.

Make what you will of it.

I thought is was a very good review, wish he had time to try more games out, but still good.
The 6970 is a disappointment in my eyes, it is a decent value, but not enough performance improvement over the old ass 5870 to write home about. maybe the The 7XXX series will show some big gains. Ninja

Any ETA on the 7xxx series?  I may wait to upgrade.

This is true it should have a much better distance from the 5870. but still its good card for the price.

I'm sure justin is testing the 7xxx series right now I wouldn't put it past him
