Whats up with this?! Could this actually be in part the reason for the sudden drop in GPU prices? lol. The Email was read aloud on July 1st. A week later prices plumeted.

Maybe, but I doubt it. If the alleged price fixing did occur, I would say it was easily at an end when ATI bombed with the HD2000 series and nVidia realized they had the whole pie to themselves with G80. If you look at what they were getting for the 8800GTS 320MB back then ($349 iirc at one point for a card that is completely outclassed less than a year later by cards at the $129 price point), you can see that ATI was a non factor. This latest round of price wars looks to me like the real McCoy. I don't see NVidia out of the blue dropping the price on their 9800GTX cash cow by 33% to stage competition.
The outcome of this suit should be interesting. The timing is curious as well. I wonder if Intel had anything to do with this. It's very convenient that an anti-trust lawsuit against the two largest makers of GPU's is in the works about the time Intel is gearing up for Larrabee.
