AMD ever recommended

I noticed that AMD processors are rarely recommended in the builds suggested in the forums. Why is that?

It seems like they are far less expensive. But will they live up to Crysis high end system requirements for high performance.

What AMD processor would you recommend with with what processor to get Crysis running with a high framerate and everything maxed out. Just a single card set up please?

AMD is no longer recommended by most users because their high end CPUs do not perform compared to Intel Core 2s.
