Pretty much for hardcore gaming on a laptop.

Would It be worth it to upgrade to a 6970M? For newer games for 2011.

it should be between 6970 and 570, not the 470.

but your native res is what is the deciding factor.

If you are talking about the screen size it would be 17 inches.
Sorry, If I gave you the wrong information. I just wanted to know if the laptop x17 lvl2 could handle the 6970 over long periods of time without it blowing up. Feels like Im gonna overkill the laptop.
