Are there any real differences in these 2 systems? Is it Coke vs Pepsi or what? As far as Intel what are the differences between i3, i5, i7?

Reasons intel is better with cpus.
Hyperthreading gets around 50-75% more out of each core. Turbo boost makes it last longer at higher oc. Much more oc able than amd. |

Simple enough stuff, the benchmarks pretty much say it all. Though also keep in mind this is only at stock speeds, bring overclocking into this and it gets really really lopsided in Intel's favor really fast with a 2600K or similar getting to 5.0GHz. To say nothing of the motherboards, the AMD chipsets are absolutely dismal compared to Intel motherboards. |
