I've been attempting research to figure out what processor and whatnot best fit my needs. I'm still at a loss (i3/i5/i7 and Phenom swirl around my head.) and would be grateful for what assistance can be given.

I would like to know what the cheapest processor (AMD or Intel) and gpu I can get by with that will play Sims 3 and Warcraft on max settings with no lag. I'm always multi-tasking and it includes messing about with photo editing and watching videos. I would highly prefer that to lack lag also.

I've been eyeing something similar to the ASUS G73JH but I can't help but wonder if that wouldn't be more than what is needed. I'd certainly love to spend less than 1500 dollars, if I can. Big%20Smile Less than 1000 might bring a tear to my eye. Wink I'm not sure if my request is a tall order or not. (Maybe "wishful thinking" is more apt. haha)

I currently own a Compaq CQ60 Athlon 64 x2. (Cream of the crop, I know.) I love it because I push it hard and it hasn't blown up but it's driving me mad and I'm ready to move on.

I know what it would take to max out Warcraft, however unfortunately not sure what it would take to max out Sims 3 to be honest. Warcraft doesn't require too much, you could go with an i5 no problem.

What Warcraft game are you talking about? WarCraft 3 or World of WarCraft?(WOW)
