Hey Guys,

I have had my system for almost a year, and it is getting time to conduct maintenance on my cooling system. I didn't get any documentation on the procedures or on the case or the loop itself with the system...I was hoping to find a "how to" video or a thread discussing this, but I didn't see one. I have a Stage 6 Dual Loop, and an Obsidian 800 case.

I originally thought "maintenance" was periodically changing out the liquid and ensuring they are topped off...but after talking to a more tech savvy guy this weekend, he recommended that I take the entire system apart and clean each component by hand...he mentioned you had to know what the components where made out of, and what solutions to use in order to prevent corrosion etc.  Oops

I guess I am a getting a little intimidated by the thought of breaking the system down to do it, and was looking for some guidance./ instruction / advice.  Is there a good tutorial and a list of the components / materials so I don't jack this up? Confused

Thanks in advance for the help!

As far as a list of components, this is H2O Stage 6:

1. 3/8" Tubing
2. Swiftech APOGEE XT Waterblock
3. XSPC Dual Reservoir
4. 240mm Radiator
5. 2xSwiftech Pump
6. 360mm Radiator
7. GPU Waterblock (times your number of graphics cards)
8. Motherboard Chipset Waterblock (if you chose chipset liquid cooling)

Here's a link to the basic H2O Stage 6 including a sample photo of components.

Add additional fluid should be fine for quote some time (at least a year), after a few years, flushing out is good maintenance.

Our team is actually working on some videos for liquid cooling system and we should have them within 1-2 months.

Glad to hear that Alex, this is an issue that seems to come up on the forums rather frequently, and it will be nice to be able to direct someone towards an in-house video(s).

Good to here Alex.  Looking forward to the videos.  But 1 to 2 months?  You build computers in a not less time than that. Hahaha

I too am looking forward to the video. I have some verbal instructions on topping up the coolant, but a video would be much clearer to follow...

To be honest it's not that bad, it's relatively simple. All you really need to do is top off the fluid reservoirs after a few months. We'll be doing a video soon, our team is finishing product overview videos on our systems right now.
