Like others, I also have been looking at the P&V system, but am now becoming convinced I'd be better off spending $200 more for 2X SLI 275s and cutting some corners elsewhere.
Main thing I'm wondering now is, will going from 6GB to 3GB system ram create much of a performance hit for processor intensive tasks?
This rig will be 99% a gaming toy, but for the small amount of work I'd do on it, I'd hate to take too much of a CPU/memory hit. The 2GB I'm currently running on a 3 yr old C2D6700/680i/8800GTX rig is good enough, but I definitely wouldn't want less.
Thanks in advance for any advice.

if you are good with 2GB now then 3GB will do you fine, more amount of ram = more multitaksing,
