I recently added a raid controller ( 4 Raptors raid 0 / backup every night) to a LC Evga 280 tri SLI setup on a 790I ultra MB. I had to remove one 280 to do this. My question is this, I had 3 EVGA 280's installed and now I have 2. I liked the FPS the tri gave me but I needed the slot fot the raid controller ( transfer rate jumped 3 fold). Down the road a bit, will 2 EVGA 295's be equal or better than a tri 280 setup?

it will b equal to a tri sli setup and if they decide to work on the drivers and push performance a bit, the 2 x 295s can beat the 280s. Right now 3x285s beat the 2x295s by 10-15fps in a few games.

Why do they blame me for all their little failings? They use my name as if I spent my entire day sitting on their shoulders, forcing them to commit acts they would otherwise find repulsive - Lucifer
