Ok so back in december I posted here about a config and got great help from everyone here. Now the time has finally come for me to order and I decided to change a few things around specially because the new 295 cards came out. I just wanted to ask:

Should I go with 2 GTX 295 or 2 GTX 285? This would be to provide me with the best performance for now. Right now I am trying to keep my budget to $5000 or less, maybe can bump it up to $5500 if it is necessary.

I talked to Sarah a little bit back, and she helped me get to this config, if there is anything you guys would change let me know. I will be gaming in a 24" Moniter to a 30" monitor(dont know if I will have the money left for the 30"). Also I am trying to get it as future proof as I can get it as I wont be getting the money to upgrade this machine in the next 4-5 years time. Anyways she told me that the i7 920s overclock better than the 940s and are just all around better. Now I was thinking if the 920 will present a bottleneck in regards to gaming, or should I opt for the 965EE?

Thanks for any help that you guys can provide and the stuff you have already helped me with :D

now the 2 x 295 are over kill for a 24" and 2 of them are there for a 30", why don't you go with one of them and when you get the 30" then add a second 295.

Thanks for the quick reply, you have been awesome.

So the Quad SLIed 295s are better than dual 285s right?

Thanks.

Great, all these naming changes with NVIDIA confuses me a lot. So I guess this week when I get the chance to order it I will. Now I am super excited about this computer.

be sure to reconfigure the system before you order, when the prices change it will not reflect in a saved ticket
