Mr Kerr,
I wanted to go over the LC system you've recommended a few times.
1. GPU blocks (EK's?) Nickel coated
2. Tubing choice (type etc, fittings if different etc) Compression
3. Fans. (Is there a color choice?)
4. Rad's
5. Controller (Is one recommended) Lamptron FC-3 or which if necessary/Rec.
I know this is rehash, but while my baby
You have suggested XSPC radiators (HAF 932 CASE) do both need to be this manufacture and the size, model # etc for this case.
You have suggested Scythe gentle typhoon 1150 rpm fans. Quantity and size for your recommended build.
And any of the other items I have noted above that should be changed. (upgraded)
Other than the LC6 change below I think this is my build. This decision is dependent on results of DSO RMA testing etc.
Bill

1. GPU blocks, the EK's are a very good choice, with the Swiftechs getting better temps on the GPU chips, but poorer temps on the VRM's, the rest do not consider.
2. tubing will not matter much, I like Primochill pro LRT, because it seals a bit better, and has a tighter bend radius.
3. fans, for radiator fans the Gentle Typhoons are the way to go. they produce great static pressure, and produce a sound that is at a different frequency than other fans, making the perceived sound much quieter. 1150 RPM will be silent, with the 1450 RPM being very quiet, and giving 1.5-2C better temps.
4. the XSPC RX series is very good with low speed fans, and has very low water flow restriction, which is key, higher flow= lower temps. The Thermochill rads will nearly match the XSPC at low RPM, and will beat it at 1450 RPM and up, but at a added cost.
5. Fan controller in not needed for the 1150 RPM fans, they will be silent, and offer good temps.. If you go with the 1850 RPM fans, then a fan controller would be nice, so when benching you can get better temps, 2-3C, and for normal use slow them down, but I doubt that would make much sense for your application. Also a radiator like the Thermochill would be nice in that scenario. A dual radiator for the CPU is the min. a triple would be a better idea, for the GPU's a dual will cool the 2 5870's nicely
6. lastly make sure they put the fans on correctly.
your build looks fine air cooled. water cooling can be great, but the cost is significant, for the results, especially if it is not silent. lol

@Kerr,
Can you help me find the fans, rads and controller? I live in Ca. in the Northern Bay area. (I don't feel comfy sending my money to Nigeria, see filters...lol) Anyone you've had good results with. Thanks for repeating it for me.
To confirm I feel I should if I am going to supply this material it makes sense to me to get as much as possible. (This is to KISS keep it simple s ----- for me)
So I would love it if you could confirm the following:
Quantity size Description
1 Tripple XSPC Radiatior
1 Dual XSPC Radiator
2 5870 Ati EK nickle coated water blocks w/ second plate
5 92mm Scythe Gentle typhoon 1150/1450 rpm
# ? ? Fittings
# ? ? Tubing with wrap (black) I like the look
1 ? Dual chamber resevoir
1 ? Pump
1 Fan/pump controller
I got a little worried when I started thinking about numbers if I am to get this material. I am guessing I'd replace the stock fans (noise) with quieter units?
They are 220mm fans Three one in front, at the top and on the side. The top and rear fan (140mm) I am thinking are removed and replace with the rads and new fans? So, that would leave the front fan and side fan. I could replace with smaller fans. (That meet our dBA standard set with the gentle typhoons) A lighted version for the front and side might be a good idea. I like blue if availible?
Also I should not forget I have the RAM fan from DS? If not silent is more important I could add leds... Also should I get a pump controller or just fan.
And the more I think about it the more I'd feel better if I use a controller, do I need one for the pump/fan system? Recommendation?
The Digital storm package comes with a pump resevior, CPU, chipset cooler, and the EK blocks if these are good I'll leave them alone. We could add tubing and fittings (unless you've got a differnt idea)

1. radiators yes, but make sure they are th RX series, other series is junk
2. Gpu block, check
3. 120MM scythe gentle typhoon, pick your poison on RPM
4. DS uses good compression fittings, so no need to change a thing there, unless you request some rotaries. lol amount, 12
5. tubing is good
6.pump/res all good
fan controller I would pass, unless you go 1850 RPM fans, then I would also go to Thermochill radiators. the pumps run at full speed, can't have too much flow, some of us use 2 or three pumps in one loop to increase the flow. lol, but not needed at all for your case.
the stock fans are decent, and they are easy to adjust the speed if you have issues, I would flip the big side fan so it exhausted out, but that is just me.
RAM fan is quiet, it will be connected to the motherboard so its speed can be adjusted
DS uses different GPU blocks, I have seen some with koolnace blocks, so I would try to make sure you got the EK or swiftech
fans
radiators

@ K,
Thanks reviewing the info will do a build/order sheet with part # and Qty's etc
just to make sure I am not missing anything. We are still testing and verifying whether i need lc. but if I am going to do it it should match the beauty of my baby so far and not detract and eakin out that last little for a few $$ more well time and effort well spent. Thermal rads part number and POC? Thanks again

works fine for me. lol did you get the part numbers?
Here is pretty much all of the triple radiators, with a comparison using different speed fans. the numbers are degrees in Celsius above ambient temp, so lower numbers will get better temps for your CPU, or GPU(s) you can see that the XSPC rocks with slow fans, and the Thermochill does great at most any speed, also you can see what difference fan speeds make.
