I am new to posting on this site and  would really appreciate any comments about my build.  I am not a gamer but need to run software that requires a gaming rig. I have a budget of $3500 and this build meets the s/w spec requirements.  I would like to meet current needs but build some growth into the build.  I have two 27" monitors (Samsung S27A850D) that I want to use with this rig so I would like to know if these monitors are compatible with the one NVIDIA card and is cooling and power adequate?  I will be running 3D graphics with terrain changing features and large amounts of number crunching.  I will also be using CAD and Matlab probably 30% of the time.  My work will require making small video clips so large storage is needed.

All looks good except for the GPU. I would probably recommend a GTX 7xx over the 6xx series. Not sure how demanding all your 3D software is, but most are just as demanding on the GPU as they are the CPU & RAM. Quadro's & FirePro's are recommended when getting heavily involved with graphics (which I'm guessing we aren't quite that far yet!) requiring Pro grade GPU's. I would roam around some of the CAD/3D forums to see what they are using and recommend on the consumer grade GPU's.

This is a little bit over your budget. But will give you better cooling for OC'ing if you want and better airflow.

It also has a GTX 770 and a 6 core cpu for your rendering.
