I can not believe the poor customer service so far from Digital Storm so I hope that people check the forums more often then they check the voicemail's / e-help requests. I am having issues with my new computer as I can hear through my headset the hard drive spin as well as a feedback noise as I am playing games (when quiet especially) Any thoughts? I also did not receive the Digital Code for the Division which was less then exciting. Thank You Edited by Sinnidyne - 16 May 2016 at 10:33am |

Your headset is picking up emf noise, most likely through the front case's audio port. Try hooking your headphones to the rear audio port, directly into the mobo. Less wiring to pick up the noise. Front ports are more susceptible to it.
You can go to Asus website, Support , or whatever motherboard you have, maybe Gigabyte, and download the latest Realtek audio drivers and install them. As another member, Tidgxor, also suggested awhile back, the Realtek site also has drivers if needed. Sometimes going into the the audio control panel, right clicking the audio icon, Playback and set the High Definition Audio, or something along those lines. Try different settings. Hope this helps. ![]() |

Thank you for the thoughts, but my headset is plugged directly into my sound card (rear jack). I tried the front jack for giggles after i got the computer but knew it would be worse and it was. I have played with multiple settings in control panel and ensured that my drivers were up to date.

Didn't notice you have the sound card. Some cards have a front panel hookup cable from card to front case ports. If yours does, I'd disconnect it.
Some mobo aren't very good at noise filtering. My only other thought, and it's a somewhat long shot, is to go into Device Manager, expand sound and uninstall any Nvidia drivers, assuming you won't be using sound over a HDMI to a monitor. This normally helps with the Realtek onboard circuitry but noise is noise. After that, a choke on your audio cable might help. Amazon has them as ferrite coil filter. I have used then industrially but not for PC. Edited by bprat22 - 16 May 2016 at 12:27pm |

The code is emailed to you. If you've not received it (check spam folder!) then contact DS to have them send it to you. |
