If you want the best bang for your buck, you should go with the P67 (Sandy Bridge) chipset. They can overclock really high at great prices for a nice performance boost. In addition, with the money saved, upgrade to a GTX 580 graphics card.

Not seeing the option for the P67. I hear the 580 is major overkill for MMOs and not worth the extra $$$. Of coarse im a newbie to all this and will be willing to add the 580 if you think it will improve performance on an upcomming title such as SWTOR. I left the extra $400 to upgrade my warranty if I dont end up upgrading any of my current config. Thanks for the help. Keep the expert advice coming!

@ staytonc your going to have to start a new ticket with one of the sandy bridge procs on it to get the configurator to have the P67s MoBo's listed.

$20 is not worth losing 2 gig of ram for an older chipset that just got a facelift..one that has already had several bios updates and some issues.. why not pay 20 bucks more and get the high end version instead of the mainstream?  Yeah the 2600 overclocks better to higher speeds, but with a stage 1 overclock he's pretty much set to get 3.7-3.9 with either chipset.  They're all luck of the draw anyway as far as how fast they can take it.

My pleasure and good luck

Those offers come and go, unless there is a holiday or something I'm not sure, who knows maybe they will have a spring sale, maybe they won't, you can never tell.
