.Keyboard- im looking for a keyboard that costs less than 80$ that does not have a very large palmrest or some sort of wave S looking pattern. key illumination would be a plus, but not needed. also unsure if i want wireless, probably would want a wire so i dont need to bother with batteries.
Mouse- For the mouse i would like a wired but i do have a left over magic mouse from my mac and heard there are some hacks to make it work on a pc. so pretty unsure in this category.

Monitors- also tell me what monitor would be a smart choice.- these are my two ideas as of now.

G110 by Logitech is an excellent, no frills wired keyboard. Keys are illuminated in colors ranging from a red to blue spectrum (Red, to Teal, to Blue, and everything in between). It has a relatively short palmrest in my opinion, and it's removable as well. The G110 is $80 MSRP, $67 on amazon atm.

For a mouse, I dunno why police recommended the RAT9. The RAT9 is a wired/wireless mouse, but it does feature a lot of user customizability. If you like how the RAT9 looks, go for the RAT7 (The RAT9 is just the RAT7 with wireless functionality built on it). You may also want to take a look at Razer large selection of mice, from experience their mice feel very comfortable and are easy to use as well. I've heard good things about SteelSeries mice as well.

I'm going to second both ablahblah's recommendation of the G110 Keyboard (I use one myself), and DST4ME's monitor recommendation of the Dell U2311H. I don't personally have that model, I use a U2410, but we have some of the U2311H monitors at work and they are very nice. As for a mouse, I can't really recommend much, as I don't know many. I personally use a G9x, and wouldn't trade it for anything. It was a gift though, as its kind of pricey.

U2311H is the update model of U2410 from what I understand. The U2410 is a great monitor also

Really? I thought they were just different selections from the current UltraSharp line. With the U2311H being 23" and 1920x1080 and the U2410 being 24" and 1920x1200. I'm probably mistaken though, I never was good at keeping up with model numbers. Big%20Smile Regardless, both good monitors and both a good price (In my book) for IPS panels.

Well the u24 came out in 2010 and the u23 is pretty much new, seeing how they cameout with a 23"ips I don't think they gonna do a 24" ips.
