Hi,
I'm interested in buying ODE Lv3 but I'm not sure if: Will it be able to run Skyrim/Hitman5/Heroes M&M VI smoothly? Will it be able to handle multitasking with up to 3 ~ 4 media programs while playing those games? After 2 ~ 4 hours gaming, how long can I leave it on for files streaming afterward without harming internal components? How powerful is its cooling system? "Tolerate-able"/Acceptable/Excellent? If it can't meet these criteria, is it possible to find another system that can for an extra $300? Any add-on comments/reviews would be much appreciated ! Thanks P/S: English isn't my first language so please excuse my mistakes or help me to correct them, thanks .Edited by Charlestp13 - 08 Oct 2011 at 5:20pm |

ODE 3 should give you what you need, but we need to know your res to be sure.
you might need more ram to game and run multi games, or yoyu may not, we are not gonna know that till you try it. you can leave the pc on for as long as you like. Edited by DST4ME - 08 Oct 2011 at 7:36pm |

Thanks for your reply !
I have a 23" fullHD LG monitor so I think the res is 1920 x 1080. I've never used liquid cooling system before so will I have to keep topping up the tank during the day if I wanna leave it on 24/7 for just file streaming? I really like the raven's cooling power and quietness. Is it possible to build an equivalent system to ODE lv3 using raven chassis? Edited by Charlestp13 - 09 Oct 2011 at 12:11pm |

the equivalent to ode 3 wiht raven is going to be over $2900.
the haf x will have better airflow. most of your noise will come from gpu's when under load, so your case's noise won't come into play. the h70 is not real lc system, so you are not going to get lc performance out of it, the a70 will beat it, but you don't have to do anything to maintain it, tho it will be a bit loud. So it would seem that ODE is the best choice for budget of $2400 or lower but I'm a bit worry about its cooling power (Stage 2 Overclocking and SLI). I want my comp to be able to stay on for at least 3 days in a row plus 2 hours for gaming each day. Would that be too much for H70 to handle?

What is your room temp?
make sure you request the side mesh grill, it will come separate and has space for 4 x 120mm fans, you should add those yourself later for best airflow. |

Thanks again for your quick replies !
My room temp reaches 85F at noon but it's gonna be winter soon so it'll drop down to 75F at peak. Would you mind explaining with more details about side mesh grill? How do I request it? Where should I look for those fans? Edited by Charlestp13 - 09 Oct 2011 at 11:25pm |

in the special notes ask them to include the side mesh grill, it will come uninstalled with your stuff. you just change it with your side panel and get 4 of these and add it to it:
Nexus 120mm Real Silent case fan if you get the black and white it will match the case nicely. 85f is too hot, short of putting a vornado fan pointed at your pc with its panel off at full speed, I'm not sure what to tell you Edited by DST4ME - 09 Oct 2011 at 11:43pm |

Yeah, this is Texas. I tried my best to keep my room cool at 75F ~ 80F but sometime things get out of hands. My room reached 85F when it was ~ 110F outside. If I put my AC on max even when nobody's home I think it's gonna barbecue my electric bill.
I don't think ODE desktop have "Special Assembly / Testing Instructions", or did you mean the "Special Comments" box at the payment info page? Edited by Charlestp13 - 10 Oct 2011 at 4:39pm |

I understand. The good thing it's gonna be winter by the time my comp arrive. Thanks to you now I know how to get the best cooling system within my budget. The problem with my room average temperature still remain but I have 7 months before I have to deal with it again !
Again, thank you ! Edited by Charlestp13 - 10 Oct 2011 at 6:01pm |

Hey DST4me, what about those Nexus performance fans? Are they much louder or just not compatible?
Is it possible to add even more fans? I like how your rig has 9 fans ! |

You are looking at the hafx right?
my rig has 15 fans, 12 of them are on the rads. |

Yeah I clicked on your signature, it looks really awesome ! I'm just wondering if I can put even more fan onto an ODE lv3 beside the 4 that you suggested on the mesh grill.
I'm thinking about using LED fans too, do you think the 800W PSU can manage that? |

For the haf x's 200mm fans go with the oem, all the other 200mm fans on the market have less airflow, but then you mention ode 3 so which case are we talking about?
when you have good airflow you don't need more fans, most of my fans are on the rad not the case. |

I'm talking about ODE 3. I've decided to get it because it's the best deal for budget of lower than $2500. I would like to max out the airflow of that case as much as possible like how you did with the HAF X !

They only thing you want to do with that case as far as fans go is just add the 4 fans to the side mesh grill.

I just recieved my beast !! But ... please instruct me how to install the fans. Where are you DST4ME ? Please come to the rescue ! ![]() Edited: I figured out how to install the fans. One problem tho: The exhaust air seems to be going out from the top of the CPU but my Desk to too low. The gap between the top of the CPU & the underneath surface of my desk is about 0.5 Inch. Would that be a problem to my airflow? Should I put the CPU side way? Edited by Charlestp13 - 26 Oct 2011 at 4:20pm |

you need room for the hot air that is rising to get out, let the system have room from all sides.
so you got the fans installed I see
