I saw this while browsing, and thought I recalled that the newest member at DSO might have been into paintball. I found this one interesting, and paintball isn't even my thing:

I was into paintball, I actually played professional at NPPL and etc... but I quit since its really a sport that is really expensive(not that I care about the money) but I figured I can spend my money on computers instead... =)

I have always wanted to get into paintball, but truth be told, the idea of a small ball of paint, being shot out of a machine at my body, only to explode upon impact...sounds painful.

Everyone who wants to go let me know. I have coupons and we shall have a DSO paintball day. Whoever is down for that, let me know...basically you will get in free (gun and suit rental waived) with the purchase of 500 paintballs or more. This is for whoever lives in the local Bay Area. I want to go but don't have enough people who want to go with. Let's do this people...Chris and I are ready to rock and roll.

If you schedule on a weekend count me in. Its a bit of a drive (90 minutes or so) but sounds like a blast.
For some reason I think it would be fun to pop Eric in the forehead. Maybe its the avatar .o^o.

Son and I were really into it about 5 years ago. It is expensive. Both guns he had were over $1000. I remember the brand Smart Parts Shocker and maybe neon was the other. Can't remember. Anyway, I just ran out there with him cause he wanted me to. HeHe. Then you have the paintballs, course fee, and I don't think they charged for air. Anyway, expensive sport. Every once in a while he goes airsofting now.

If Eric was building my rig...I'd kinda wait til he's finished with it before popping him on the cranium... but we both don't have to worry about that anymore, so go right ahead....lol

I got shot by a paintball once.
Not in the eye, but the area left the same type of bruise.
Been shot a couple times with airsoft too. First it stings, then the you jump up and down in pain. I am not getting in the way of a bb gun though. I have one [Remington], 8 pumps does it. Edited by Duke - 02 Sep 2008 at 11:48pm |
