I am looking for a new laptop and came across this one. HP Compaq 8710w KA451UA Laptop Computer - Intel Core 2 Duo T9500, 2GB DDR2, 160GB HDD, DL DVDRW, 17" WUXGA, Windows XP Pro/Vista Business for 899.99.

The models up from this one cost over a 1000.00 more for less speed etc. You guys have always been great with the knowledge so I thought I would throw this out here for your response. At some places this model still sells for $2700.00 to $3000.00+. Any thought are welcomed.  Ouch

I'm not a big fan of hp and my friends that are in the computer repair business always joke about how HP keeps them in business. thats my 2 cents.
