Hey guys! Long time no see! I've been pretty busy over the past several months. Just wanted to write a quick review about my experience with the Apollo since June.
Chassis Model: Special Deal Hot Seller - Digital Storm Apollo (White) Exterior Finish: - Standard Factory Finish Trim Accents: - Standard Factory Finish Processor: Intel Core i7-7700K 4.2 GHz (Codename Kaby Lake) (Unlocked CPU) (Quad Core) Motherboard: MSI Z270 PC MATE (Intel Z270 Chipset) (Up to 2x PCI-E Devices) (No SLI Support) System Memory: 16GB DDR4 3000MHz Digital Storm Performance Series Power Supply: 750W EVGA SuperNOVA (750 G3) (Fully Modular) Expansion Bay: - No Thanks Optical Drive: DVD-R/RW/CD-R/RW (DVD Writer 24x / CD-Writer 48x) (Internal) Storage Set 1: 1x SSD (480GB Digital Storm Performance Series) Storage Set 2: 2x Storage (1TB Western Digital - Black Edition) Storage Set 3: - No Thanks RAID Config: - No Thanks RAID Card: - No Thanks Internet Access: High Speed Network Port (Supports High-Speed Cable / DSL / Network Connections) Graphics Card(s): 1x GeForce GTX 1070 8GB (VR Ready) Sound Card: Integrated Motherboard Audio HPC Processor: - No Thanks Extreme Cooling: H20: Stage 2: Corsair H115i - 280mm Liquid CPU Cooler (Fully Sealed + No Maintenance) HydroLux Tubing Style: - Not Applicable, I do not have a custom HydroLux liquid cooling system selected HydroLux Fluid Color: - Not Applicable, I do not have a custom HydroLux liquid cooling system selected Cable Management: Premium Cable Management (Strategically Routed & Organized for Airflow) Chassis Fans: Standard Factory Chassis Fans Internal Lighting: - No Thanks Airflow Control: Digital Storm Thermal Management Control Board & Software Chassis Mods: - No Thanks Noise Reduction: - No Thanks LaserMark: - No Thanks CPU Boost: Stock Factory Turbo Boost Advanced Automatic Overclocking Graphics Boost: - No Thanks, Please do not overclock my video card(s) OS Boost: - No Thanks, Please do not tweak the services on the operating system Windows OS: Microsoft Windows 10 Home (64-Bit Edition) Recovery Tools: Factory Reset Feature + Windows Installation CD (Partition up to 50GB of Storage) Virus Protection: FREE: McAfee AntiVirus Plus (1 Year Service Activation Card) (Not Pre-installed) ($35 Value) Office: - No Thanks Game: - No Thanks Display: - No Thanks Surge Shield: - No Thanks Speakers: - No Thanks Keyboard: - No Thanks Mouse: - No Thanks Branded Gear: - No Thanks Priority Build: - No Thanks, Ship Within 15-20 Business Days After Order Is Successfully Processed Warranty: Life-time Expert Care with 3 Year Limited Warranty (3 Year Labor & 1 Year Part Replacement) Simply put, the Apollo looks incredible and the layout of the machine is ideal for checking parts and maintenance. From a game/work perspective, everything is excellent. Arma 3 runs at a stable 75 FPS with Ultra Graphics at default drawing distance(Single Player Mode). And, I've been putting it to great use with my online college classes. No significant problems have occurred so far but just one minor issue which is already being resolved(Recently, one of my front fans behind the dust screen sometimes acts a little weird when I boot up my PC. The problem goes away when I shutdown the Apollo and turn it back on. Tech Support told me it's likely a defective fan and I'm in the process of receiving a new one). Because it happens only occasionally and is easily fixed by restarting my PC, I consider it only a minor issue. Overall, I've had a very good experience with the Apollo and Digital Storm. Mouse: Razer DeathAdder Chroma Keyboard: Corsair STRAFE Mechanical Gaming Keyboard, Red LED, Cherry MX Brown Monitor: Asus - 24" LED FHD FreeSync Monitor - Black Wallpaper: Arma 2 OA (Arma 3: Tanoa) ![]() Edited by Batman34 - 04 Nov 2017 at 10:08am |

I'd specifically like to thank DST4ME, brpat22, db188, and Alex for helping me set up my configuration.
I'd also like to point out how beneficial this site is. I was pretty much clueless about PC parts/configurations before joining this forum. Others can vouch for it. Edited by Batman34 - 04 Nov 2017 at 12:01am |

Excellent pics.
We love peeking into others rigs.
Thanks for the review and Enjoy. The Apollo is the twin brother of my ODE 600 T case which has been great for over 6 years.

Recently, one of my front fans behind the dust screen(the top one) sometimes acts a little weird when I boot up my PC. The problem goes away when I shutdown the Apollo and turn it back on. Tech Support told me it's likely a defective fan and I'm in the process of receiving a new one. Because it happens only occasionally and is easily fixed by restarting my PC, I consider it only a minor issue. Edit: Added this comment to my review to be as clear as possible.
