Listen to this:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kqnJY8lo3d8

I think audio only would've sufficed but I wanted to show the model and where the sound is coming from. This has been ongoing for about a year but it's random. It's been happening more lately where the fans will make this sort of grinding sound. As I move the phone around it's hard to tell but the front fan sounds slightly worse. My apartment is dusty and I need to clean it pretty often.

I also have another unrelated issue where the rubber ring that holds the power button in place is broken. There might be some hardware stores that will have what I need if anyone can point me in the right direction....

I just cleaned the top of the Bolt just before this video was taken. The system is just over 3 years old and besides this noise is working totally normal.

Most fans (not mag-lev) have bearings inside that will eventually get worn out and start to make noise. They will often, but not always, last more than 3 years. It's pretty easy to replace a fan. They screw into wherever they belong, and you need to pay attention to where the power leads go.

Hope it helps.

I'm fairly confident I can replace these without an issue. Does that sound worn out to you?

Another strange thing about this issue I noticed is that it only seems to occur when I have the Bolt 3's top cover on. When I remove it and allow the Radiator to rest on the top frame, the buzzing type sound stops or is less audible.

You think a fan blade is making contact with the cover? I can't tell, nor can I figure why that would even happen, but if the sound is there at all with your cover off, it's gotta be a bearing. You can see the blades aren't hitting anything. Best guess.

I think we can rule the fans out. If I remove the entire top of the case and allow the radiator assembly to rest on the top, the noise stops depending on the position of the radiator.

Either the mounting bracket of the whole thing is vibrating or there's something else that's loose. I can't find what it is.

$100 your pump is getting ready to die. I'm going to assume you have water cooling? Is the fluid full? Did you change the fluid?

Yes, but it's an AIO.

The sound is not coming from anywhere near the pump which is in the CPU mount. When I moved the radiator further back on the mounting bracket, the sound finally stopped.

I don't know how long this solution will last but I know it's not being caused by the fans because if I take the Bolt 3's case apart the fans make no noise.
