Hello, I received my Stage 5: (Phase 2 Stress Testing) e-mail back on 6/10/16, it is now 6/20/16 and have still not not received any e-mail or updates since. Is it realistic to to be in
Stage 5: (Phase 2 Stress Testing) for this length of time or is it possible the status is not being updated as progress is made?

Hi arty511,
Yes, updates are legit. When they did the stress test they may have found a problem and are waiting for replacement parts. This is a dynamic time right now for builders with all of the new equipment and demand. There isn't a lot of new stuff in the pipeline and it is spread thin. A lot of sources are out of some products. Your best bet is to be paitient and hope for the best. If you just got to do something you can Email DS and ask for a status report. It doesn't speed up anything but might give you peace of mind. Frank [email protected] Edited by FrankW - 20 Jun 2016 at 11:04am |

As frank says contact [email protected] and ask them they could be waiting for a part also.

Also check your "Spam". In the past, some e-mails end up there.

Welcome to the family. I've been in Stage 6 since 6/16. You're not the only one getting impatient!

This doesn't bode well for me then. Placed an order for a Hailstorm II on Friday in the early AM, still on stage 1, which seems a bit ridiculous to me consider it's the "build sheet" status which should take all of a few minutes I would think.
Really isn't much to do other than wait unfortunately, but can't say I'm happy about it. Edited by nesl247 - 20 Jun 2016 at 5:54pm |

Orders should ship within the up to 15 business day mark. Feel free to email [email protected] if you order has been stuck in a stage for more than 5 business days.

I actually ordered on Thursday going into Friday at like 12am, which means 2 full business days of it sitting in stage 1. Maybe they do more in the stage than the description says, that's my only hope. |

Took me almost 4 days to leave stage 1. DS says 15 Business days. Today marks day 12 not including the day I actually ordered the system. I ordered right before a weekend like you.

Wow that's crazy. They might want to update the description for stage 1 then as it does not state anything that would give any reasonable explanation as to taking more than an hour. In my mind, I see it that if stage 1 takes that long, the rest would take even longer.
I think the fact that I don't currently have a system capable of playing games (haven't for a few years), and the lack of stuff to do right now is making me a bit more impatient. Had they had an option to pay for an expedited build, I would probably have considered it heavily. I've been spoiled by Amazon Prime, so anything that takes longer than 2 days (and that is already pushing it) makes me anxious. I know the patience will pay off, it's just not one of my virtues
Edit: I already skipped on waiting for the Aventum 3 case which I really wanted because there was no way in hell I was going to make it to August. I'm pretty sure I'd wear a hole in the carpet from pacing back and forth at that point ![]() Edited by nesl247 - 20 Jun 2016 at 9:56pm |

It's not the bins or allocating parts that takes long, it's the payment process. It can take days for a bank to approve the funds.

The payment was approved instantaneously (paid via CC). If they are doing batch transactions once a day, sure it might have taken a business day for them to receive the funds, but that's it. If it were a bank transfer, then I would understand that being 1-5 business days.

Either way, my intent wasn't really to complain too much, was just shocked that it really will probably take closer to the 15 business days than I thought. I really thought it was just a safety zone for them, not a normal thing. Honestly thought 5 business days would have been the norm (nearly a day per stage, stage 1-2 probably same day).
Oh well, as you said, just gotta wait. |

Its perfectly fine to ask questions, DS from what I have seen is not one of those places that jams everything together as fast as possible, they like to take their time and sometimes you run into a problem that might take a little bit to figure out.
Long story short they feel comfortable promising that time frame for a good working pc, and that is what we are stuck with. I mean I want my new pc tomorrow also if I had ordered, trust me mine took like 6 months, due to problems, parts and me changing my mind on parts. |

There is a line item in the Configurator that you could have selected. Priority Build: Please Prioritize: Ship Within Four Business Days After Order Is Successfully Processed [+$249] Frank Edited by FrankW - 21 Jun 2016 at 4:38am |

From the world of finance and banking... just because your check, money order, credit card transaction clears in a day, that does not mean that the funds have been verified. The transaction is 'pending' and can take up to 4 days for verification.
This is why your credit card company will contact you to verify it is a legitimate purchase. Some banks will put a 'temporary hold' on these transactions as well. Stage 1 can take anywhere from 1 to 5 days. Longer if your billing and shipping addresses are different. Remember, trust but verify. |

Yet and still... pay close attention to the phrase "After Order Is Successfully Processed"... Ship within 4 days after a possible 4 or even 5 day wait. |

No matter what build I've configured on the site, it's never been available. Probably due to the systems I've looked at requiring freight. |

The original post was related to a Vanquish system order (by arty511). You (nesl247) ordered a Hailstorm which does not have the priority build option. I believe FrankW was responding as if it was to the original post.

Hello arty511,
I just went over to testing and checked on your computer. It seems that it failed the stress test once again. We are trying to pinpoint the issue and will get it shipped ASAP once it is perfect. Edited by Nav - 22 Jun 2016 at 11:14am |

Just a side note, as we don't want to alarm customers when we say that, many PCs can fail our strict stress-test, that does not mean you have a bad PC, it's just that we want to make sure it's perfect. A failure could be anything from the thermals being higher than we like, to the benchmark score, or just general driver stability.

Yes I agree... Test Away!
But, tomorrow will mark two full weeks of phase 2 stress testing. You can't help but ask the question... why would a build be held up this long when a complete new rig could be built in a day? So yes, I do fear the possibility that a computer after this long is "made to work", and these same issues come up at a later date possibly after the warranty expires. Not to make a huge deal out of this, but for some this is a big investment. Thanks for all your help! |

That's pretty scary to think it's taking 10 business days of stress testing and fixes. Makes you wonder what exactly is being done and what is failing. They can't possibly have been working on it nonstop for 2 weeks... If so, I agree, I don't know if I'd want to take ownership of that build.
For as much money as these systems go, it would be nice if they had more status updates. Basically if the technician, accountant, qa, etc. makes a note, you get to see the note, rather than being blind and only seeing the current stage. |
