Ok, what resolution do you plan on gaming with? 1080? 2K? 4K? UHD? This is the driving force behind the suggestions that come from The Smart Guys® around here. All computers basically do the same thing, but it is how you wish to SEE it that makes what you buy matter. If you want to game at a reasonable price and want to use a normal 1080 monitor then you don't have to spend into the many many thousands to get what you need.... on the other hand, if you're looking at getting "intergalactic quality resolution" but only have a modest budget then you have to find the absolute best bang for your buck.
This is why the first question is always about the resolution you're going to be using. The Smart Guys® will be along shortly to help you out.... Good luck!!!

As you didn't confine us to a budget number, I can make some suggestions for you on a good solid 2K/WQHD build if you are not up on what res you will use...
One of the very best 34" IPS GSync 2K monitors out there for gaming and everything else is the (Dell) Alienware AW3418DW. You can find them on Newegg, amazon, B & H Photo...many sites carry them. You can find this one as low as $799 right now. Alienware 1900R 34.1", Curved Gaming Monitor LED-Lit, WQHD 3440 x 1440p Resolution, 4ms 120Hz Overclocked Refresh Rate, NVIDIA G-Sync, 21:9 Aspect Ratio, HDMI, Display Port, 4x USB 3.0, AW3418DW Here is a suggested build that would perform very well with an excellent monitor like that 2K/WQHD model. Lumos Build 1 # 2572512 ($3,211 -DS Sale Discount $300 off = $2,911 Total and free shipping) Features a excellent I7-9700K processor with Stage 2 Overclock, a sealed/no maintenence Corsair H115i Stage 2 cooler to keep the processor cool, solid Asus Z390 Strix full featured ATX motherboard, 16 GB of Corsair Vengeance RAM, an NVidia RTX 2080 Super video card that will play those games you are interested in and also much tougher graphic titles easily at 2K WQHD, and the Corsair LL Series case fans to keep your case cool and looking sharp with programmable RGB LED lights. This would be a strong gaming rig that would stay relevant for many years to come. See what you think. Find Load Config up in the main header above and use the Config number to see the suggested build. Edited by HockeyBuck - 07 Sep 2019 at 1:59pm |
