Thanks!! Yes very clean =D I love the wiring management. I only had to reroute the wire for the rear fan since it was a bit in the way of the cpu fan.

Looks good, as mentioned, very clean indeed. Also, I second DST4ME's question, which card are you dropping in your new rig?

Update - I popped in an EVGA GTX 570 :D it arrived on Friday! I haven't had too much time to play with it since I was out most of the weekend. Now I can =] I am a very happy camper. I haven't played on a gaming computer ever since Comic Con 08, where I tried some game that I can't remember, for a few minutes. She starts up damn fast and I've been playing a little Crysis and Team Fortress 2. Now I can't wait till Battlefield 3 comes out!

DST4ME - Thanks! I have a quick question. Do you think it's ok to uninstall a program using Revo Uninstaller "Advanced" mode and delete the registry keys associated with the program I'm uninstalling, or should I leave the registry keys alone?

I wouldn't use advance mode, the uninstaller should remove the regkeys, I just don't like messing with regkeys, you make one mistake and it can kill the whole os.

RiceEatin2000GT - Thanks :D Definitely for the win!!
DST4ME - Alrighty, I won't touch any reg key deletion. Thanks!! Anybody have tips on overclocking the graphics card? I've overclocked only once in my life when I was in high school, and I almost screwed up. I'm scared to try again. Edited by anjuice360 - 26 Jun 2011 at 11:54pm |

this guide right here is very good.
http://hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=1578110 this guide is written up by someone from asus based on results of 100+ cpu's. I would follow this guide to the T. The only thing this guide doesnt cover but its said later in the thread is people like to overclock with offset voltages so when the processor is idle it can downclock AND down volt. This is something you cant do using manual voltage. Although i personally dont see a problem with running a manual voltage. Edited by RiceEatin2000GT - 27 Jun 2011 at 12:15am |

ehhh me personally i wouldnt touch the gpu. Ive heard a fair bit about people killing 570's with some very mild overclocking. Its even happened to people with Super clocked versions from evga.

DST4ME - Well, I'm still interested in learning, so please give me some tips :D
Khagus - Definitely! It's super duper clean. Surprisingly I can play Crysis at 30-35 fps on all the settings at the highest. |

Its pretty simple, don't mess with voltage at all, keep core shader linked.
use MSI Afterburner to do all that then: Your core is set at 732 right? take it to 750, run Kombustor from afterburner, it will run a test, if it passes, start going up 10mhz at a time and run Kombustor each time to make sure the oc is table, at the same time you need to keep eye on temps, temps can't go above 85c. Kombustor fails or temps are above 85c and the oc is too high and needs to be pushed back. Edited by DST4ME - 28 Jun 2011 at 4:52am |

Thanks DST4ME!! Yes it's at 732 So ONLY overclock the core then? I'll definitely try this out.

Alright so for the MSI Kombustor program I see 4 choices: plain old MSI Kombustor, then a DX9, DX10, and DX11 version. Do I just choose plain old MSI Kombustor?
I also see "GPU BURN-IN", is that the test? Also, what does the "Xtreme burn-in" option do? Oh yeah, how long do I run the test for? Edited by anjuice360 - 29 Jun 2011 at 2:32am |

core and shader need to be locked, so when you move the core the shader gets moved also. so even tho you are moving core only, both core and shader are getting oced.
you want to run dx11, and the stress test is what you want (just run dx11 version and it will start teh stress test. Once it passed this test you can move forward Edited by DST4ME - 29 Jun 2011 at 7:14am |
