Welcome to the DS forum VRNAQLR, and congrats on ordering a way cool Lumos rig!
OK...You will play at highest levels with this top of the line RTX 2080 Ti build, but I see a couple things. * Its certainly OK to want 32 GB RAM, but gaming PC's don't use or need 32GB...16GB would have been plenty. * You selected an excellent but minimum sized M.2 250gb NVME boot drive...If you can't do 500gb now, it will get you by until you can upgrade. * You have a strong Ryzen CPU that AMD says can be overclocked...and a water cooled CPU & GPU... Consider taking the Free Stage 1 or get a Stage 2 CPU overclock! Wouldn't suggest the GPU overclock as it can add more wear than it does good, but you are full water cooled, so go for it.. * When we see leaks talked about here on new rigs, it has been mostly about the hard line tubing. Looks cool but it's not flexible at all. Recommend the flex tubing...ships better...much easier to work around for upgrades, repairs are easy.. Ask for quick disconnects and a drain fitting..? * White cables are great...they reflect whatever color your Corsair HD fan lights and case lights do! You don't need to change anything, but if you decide you want to change it is possible... You can just recontact DS and ask. Otherwise...be sure and share pics here! |

Thanks for the feedback! I'm really excited about the system and will be sure to send pictures once it is delivered !
1. I had seen that comment on the RAM in other threads, but saw others erring on the 32GB side. 2. Relatively inexpensive upgrade here, I'll probably take this advice. 3. As for the overclocks, I am not too familiar on the good either will do for performance. I was told that having the cooling system route to the GPU would reduce the wear. Maybe its not worth the overclock regardless? 4.I saw this comment in other threads as well. The Hardline tubing definitely is an aesthetic choice here... haha. |

I went with the Ryzen 7 2700x too, considering that Zen 3000 is coming out this year, and the fact that x470 mobos are gonna be compatible. I only got a 2060, since I plan to swap in my 1080ti from my old build, I checked it out on my sisters computer and luckily it still works after a power surge fried my mobo and cpu. You're gonna love that computer!

Hi VRNAQL, Congratulations and welcome to DS.That is a very nice build. I would only echo the comments on the primary storage as being a tad small and the hardships of hardline cooling. By its lack of give or flex I don't think you can get the QDs but its worth a try. The addition of a drain valve on any liquid cooled system should be a given but you have to also ask for it. Maybe the hardline also makes this item hard or impossible with the space available. Good luck and keep us posted. Now the waiting part. |

There's nothing amiss about having a lean and mean NVMe for just your OS and utilities plus a few crucial apps if you use them, IMO.
I feel compelled to point out your choice of 860 EVO is quite a bit less expensive elsewhere than offered here. |

I have just been informed that the Lumos Case has been DISCONTINUED by [email protected]
I'm a little disappointed, but still looking forward to my build in the Velox! Will keep this thread updated with any changes. |

Well Corsair has not discontinued their most popular Crystal Series 570X mid tower case...so if you want it, they should be able to orderi it for you if you request one.... Maybe DS is about to replace it, but they should still be able to get it.
Corsair currently sells the excellent tempered glass Crystal Series 570X case in 4 different flavors...Red, Black, Mirror Black, and White. Edited by HockeyBuck - 25 Feb 2019 at 8:27pm |

That is sad news (Lumos). Be sure that where you will place the system the orientation of the window will be irrelevant. The Velox has the window on the right and the Lumos on the left (facing the front of the pc) Therefore, the Velox comes with an upside down mobo with the gpu on top of the cpu. There are other cases you can pick from is this is an issue. Good luck.

Curious about the Lumos being discontinued. That Corsair case is a huge seller and the Lumos is still being offered on the Configurator. If they are replacing it, I hope they replace it with a true mid-tower case. The Velox is a little tall... The Vanquish and Lynx cases are true mid size so something along those sizes for a customizable rig would be a good replacement for the Lumos.

I appreciate all the feedback! I have decided to go with the Velox, it is a clean looking case too! I'm only in stage 1 in my builds development but the anticipation is killing me! can't wait to get it! I have been trying to satisfy my anticipation by watching unboxing videos on youtube haha. Will update as things progress!

Just to mention, you can order the Vanquish or the Lynx case for a custom build, if that helps anyone.

------------------UPDATE--------------------
Business Day 10. My build is still in phase 1. Does anyone know if DS consistently meets their 20-25 day to shipping window? |

Yup DS has been getting builds shipped in that stated 20-25 business days. Seen several now that said so. Hang in there...and it won’t hurt anything to ask DS Cust Service about the build status.

------------------UPDATE--------------------
I reached out to Alex on Business Day #12 to make sure everything was on track. He responded with a timely message that everything was going perfectly. Sub-text made it sound like they are very busy currently. Finally, after 15 Business days I climbed out of the Stage 1 Void into Stage 2. Then, as I have seen with the many posts of others, I reached Stage 3 on Business Day #17. Its been a great experience so far with Digital Storm. I am really looking forward to the new PC |

------------------UPDATE--------------------
Had multiple conversations with DS this week. The MSI X470 GAMING M7 AC (Wi-Fi) (AMD X470 Chipset) is at the end of its service life, so I upgraded to ASUS ROG Crosshair VII Hero (AMD X470 Chipset) (Up to 3x PCI-E Devices) After the last conversation on Business Day #17, my build reached Stage 5: Stress Testing. The expectation is that they will ship in their 20-25 Business Day estimate as promised! And... my order has moved from Stage 5 to Stage 6: Quality Assurance over the weekend. Either this is an auto-update notification or DS is hitting it hard over the weekend to catchup with orders! Looking forward to my PC this week! Edited by VRNAQLR - 24 Mar 2019 at 3:32pm |

It has arrived on April Fools day of all days haha . As promised here are some pictures. Only issue that I have noticed to this point is the Audio/USB ports on the top are slightly out of alignment with the machined holes in the case. Otherwise, everything is top notch!
Thank you, everyone for all of the advice! Edited by VRNAQLR - 01 Apr 2019 at 5:59pm |

Real nice! Thanks for the image. Interesting that they installed QDs with hardline tubing. I would like to see how that works. Love the white cabling. Enjoy

Is the Lumos case out of stock? They're still offering it for sale.

Nope, I didn't have any issues with the hardline tubing. It's running perfectly. They shipped it with all fluid in the reservoir. Edited by VRNAQLR - 24 Apr 2019 at 3:55pm |
