Full sized 18 wheeler, about 1% full:
Hailstorm II on pallet:
Delivery guy completing paperwork Hailstorm on my dolly. It probably weighed 70 pounds, not the 200 lb shipping weight per carrier. I could have carried it if the box wasn't so awkward.
My wife pulling the dolly. Isn't going to fit that way so we rotated it.
Box opened - lots of parts to install. I am going to take my time hooking it up as I already have a very capable machine:

Two people could certainly carry the unit but it is big and bulky, and it does have knock out handles which are unfortunately blocked by the stuff inside. I own a dolly, so why not use it. As you can see from my pictures, I did not have to carry the computer up any steps. That makes using a dolly awkward. If you don't have a dolly, or a friend with a dolly, you can move it without one. |

I was going to wait until my son came out before I did anything, but I have up many computers over the years so I thought I might as well do it myself:
Looks bare inside compared to what it could hold

Very nice rig. Thank you for posting the pics. The Hailstorm II is massive inside. Interesting to see the use of the standard mobo SLI Bridge. It makes me think the use of the LED or HB bridges may have to be a special request.
Thanks again for the pictures. |

Congratulations.
That is a very nice system. The small box contains mostly parts that were not used. You can hook up your pc and get going without touching anything in those boxes. DS does not ship a system where you have to finish it. |
