Hello,
I am a potential buyer and was just wondering if anyone has any pictures of an Assassin (silverstone FT-02) chassis with stage 6 LC (the whole bang). I know it's overkill, just wanted to see what a set up like that would actually look like as I am skeptical that the case actually has enough room for such a system.
Thanks.
PS - If somone knows for a fact that this configuration will work, just that information will suffice and a photo is not needed. Edited by Aroberts0820 - 29 Jul 2010 at 10:00pm |

Here are the two pictures which should help you understand the rear Stage 6 cooling system. (Excuse the background in the second picture, I was just trying to snap a shot for you
).

Is that...the radiator mounting kit for the Raven 1...? Wow, props, I never would've thought of that. I'm guessing that a PCI passthrough plate was used as well, am I right? Doesn't mounting a radiator there interfere a bit with the PSU's intake though?

I'm not sure where the mounting kit came from. I believe the chassis comes with a few parts we can use. But, the techs are using other things too which are not part of the chassis such as those metal studs, etc...
A PCI pass-through is being done as well. There is plenty of space and airflow for the power supply, no problems. |

sure looks like a radiator kit from a raven 1 to me, a FT02 doesn't have those holes standard so it should'nt even have em. Raven 1's barely get liquid cooled anyways, you must have tons of those little radiator support brackets lying around.

Beautiful, thanks for getting back to me. The set up makes a lot more sense now. I was trying to figure out how you get a radiator to stick out of the top of it, but I see now how you guys just pipe the tubes through the PCI slots and then out the back of the cable management opening. Pretty slick. I'm impressed. Thanks again for taking the time to post those.

P.S. - @Teaiewold - Quite simply I think the Assassin chassis looks nicer for one, and I think the alternate mobo placement gives it a wow factor that most other cases don't have. Edited by Aroberts0820 - 03 Aug 2010 at 11:55pm |
