Gents,
I'm up in the air regarding the type of system to buy from Digital Storm. I need a general purpose system as I'll be running a variety of software. In brief, I'll be using AutoCAD, Solid works, Maya and 3DS Max. I'll also be running the Adobe suite and a host of smaller applications to rip and burn video and music. I would like system that will allow me play a game when the mood strikes me.
The main issue I'm having is the video card. NVidia Quadro or the GeForce? Also, a 6core Intel i7 processor or dual quad cores? Which will suit me better? Lastely, I love the Syndicate case. I'm tempted to buy the Level 1 Syndicate and buy my own Nvidia Quadro 4000 has it's not included on the list. Any advice or opinions will be appreciated.

Hi MisterX. I'm not up on Quadro vs Geforce, but my understanding is that the quadro does a much better job supporting openGL then geforce. Others might help with that. DS does have Quadro cards listed under the Workstation section.
For Adobe, etc I would suggest the X79 platform for its quad channel memory as opposed to the Z77's dual channel memory,, The substantially higher bandwidth will help with video editing. Also, I would consider the 6 core i7-3930k chip over the 4 core 3820 due to its higher cache and the added cores will help work flow for tasks like rendering, encoding, etc. You would know Adobe editing, rendering, etc much better than I. I have never delved into it but others that have come here have appreciated the direction we gave them with the info above. Good Luck.
