Astro A40 setup for ODE V2 Level 4

I just got my ODE V2 Level 4 today and everything is working perfectly (and is super fast compared to my 4 year old bootcamped iMac!)

 
I have a set of Astro A40 headphones that I am hooking up using the PC cable (has a pink and green connector for mic and headphone)   I tried hooking it up to the front and back, and both times I can hear sound from the headphones but the microphone is not working.
 
Any advice is greatly appreciated!

Congrats on your new system.
 
I have the same issue when I 1st plug in my headset.  Here is what I have to do.  Ist I pull up the Realtek HD Audio Manager.  Under the FrontMic tab there is a slider next to the Recording Volume at the end of the slider are 2 icons, mute and microphone boost.  Click on the microphone boost and a slider come up.  It starts at 0.0db (no sound from mic) so you need to increase this.  Then there is a slider next to the Playback Volume and at the end of that slider is a mute button with default off (red x).  Click on the mute button and increase the slider by the playback volume.   Once I do this the mic works.
