So, my rig came in, I found the antenna, and last night discovered it was magnetic... Does this mean I can let it snap to the top of my velox case, or keep it the hell away from it?
*always assumes electrical components and magnets are a no-no* Secondly, how many of the extra wires and cables that came with my order will I ever use, outside of SLI bridges and the antenna? I got a big pouch and box worth of cables of all shapes and sizes that I have no idea what they go to. Thanks! |

Yes, you can affix it to your case, it will not cause any issues as the magnet is not that strong.
Those extra cables will come in handy when you need to add additional hardware and need to run power. |

run power?
Also, when I start putting it under load, I can sometimes hear a crack.... Performance isn't affected, but scares the $**† out of me... Could it be when it warms up in there, the Plexiglas contracts and cracks? Edited by Turbatus - 18 Feb 2016 at 1:52pm |

Interesting, it could be that, if so, that's a first! If you can, try to hear it when it happens so we can isolate what it is. Another idea is to remove the side window to see if the issue goes away. If it does, it definitely is the window, and then inspect it for any hairline cracks? We can send you a replacement if there are such issues with the panel.

I've been trying to recreate the noise, but no luck... It had only happened twice, but not since... (Note: The side of one of the DH-15 fans touches the window, and is also on my ram sticks, if that could possibly be something?) Maybe the gpu touched the DH-15 towers? Maybe the usb expansion bay touched the gpu fan?
Just throwing around what I think might be possibilities... But if it doesn't continue, I probably won't worry about it too much, unless you think I should? :p |

I doubt that would be the reason.
I suspect the side window must have been dislodged a little from shipping, and over time, it managed to flex back and pop in so that it's ok now. Just keep an eye on it for now. |
