I've been reading about ASUS motherboard quality deteriorating. Is ASUS still a good choice at DS?

I have been saying that their support sucks but quality, depending on mobo varies, current mobos seem to do ok, personally I don't like asus much anymore, due to their lack of support, evga has much better support IMHO, but their p67 line is not that great or out.

I agree with DST4ME
I have been buying ASUS Mobos for years now.
They were always good the last few years they had a lot of problems with the new Mobos, it was asways BIOS problems. They fixed it but it took some time.
And flashing your bios isn't always as easy as it should be.
My last one was the X58 and I am very happy with it.The one before that had lots of problems with it so did everybody.
But i am out of the loop for a year now so don't know how the new stuff is performing.

the p67 seems to be good so far, but ya they were one of the greats, then they started going downhill.

We haven't had any issues with the Asus P67 boards. Asus has been very good in helping us take care of our customers. They have gone above and beyond their call of duty in some situations.

I honestly can't remember the last time I have used anything but Asus for my Motherboard.
They have always been rock solid. |

Ya Alex for dealers but when I try to help out friends or people here on the forum asus is no help.
I remember short while a go they had a bios problem with the rampage 2 and it took them forever to get the fix. Check out the responses toward the middle of the page on here Edited by DST4ME - 06 May 2011 at 12:58am |

I've used Asus for several years and I've had no issues with build quality, BIOS issues, etc. However, I have never dealt with their support, so I can't say anything in that regard, and anymore support is a critical factor. I'm currently on the Rampage III Extreme, and even with my novice hands prodding all over it, its still doing fine.
