The mobo includes extras like useless chipset fan, zip ties, SLI/Xfire connectors, and more important things like a X-Fi SupremeFX audio card and, for those who are into overclocking, an external LCD POST display.
Now, ive e-mailed DS this question, and havent gotten a response yet ...
So, ill post it here for all the mods to see + those who visit these forums:
Are those extras includes w/ the mobo? If so, why doesnt it state it anywhere on the config page?
With love,
Nomak. Edited by Nomak - 17 Nov 2008 at 1:11pm |

Sheesh, it never fails; I don't even have my system yet and it's already been usurped by bigger/better for the same money... gotta stop looking at what's new
Ahhhh, I don't care: I bought enough for the next couple of years (I hope) Edited by stevew - 17 Nov 2008 at 4:03pm |

Yes, we do include everything with the motherboard packaging. I would recommend not sending an email to [email protected], we already removed that address from our contact page. I would recommend sending a message directly to our staff (http://www.digitalstormonline.com/sendmessage.asp).Warm Regards,
Alex

I'm assuming that was directed at me.... I knew the 9650 was cheaper and virtually the same buuuuuttttt... I worked for Bear Stearns and had a *crappy* year. Then we hung by a thread for a couple of months until JP Morgan picked us up. Then the market crashed. We got hit from all sides. I just needed to give myself a present. Usually, the price/performance sweet spot for me is 2-3 levels back from the bleeding edge, but this time, I promised myself no compromises, not even a little. I had heard that the 9770 could be pushed further. True? Dunno. Just like I don't actually need 2 raptor drives or 8gb ram at this point. I just wanted it. At home, we have an agreement. Any time we buy something and a new version comes out after the purchase but before the delivery, it's a gimme to just buy the new one, even if the old one can't be returned. Can't quite justify it with this rig though

I only know a few Dell users who wish they'd bought more power, but I can clearly see your point. |

The "x" in the chip's names for example QX9770 specifies that its an extreme chip, and extreme chips have an unlocked multiplier, which could help achieve higher OC speeds
