What does DS do when Over Clocking the ASUS Rampage IV Extreme X79? According to the Asus video there are some connections that need to be made to the Video card. Is this part of the build or do I have to do this after receiving the system?  I am doing a range of tasks not just gaming, and am debating the LC of chipset, cpu and video card.

I believe they oc thru Bios like most mobos but they could answer that better than myself.  If you mean the OC Key, then that dongle comes with the mobo and hooks between the video card DVI and monitor cable, overlaying the video signal to enable a display in real time to monitor and adjust overclocking by the customer. 
 
Not sure that's what you want.
