Anybody know when these new ASUS LAPTOPS are coming out???
 
ones with supposedly 12 hour battery life and 3D graphics?!?!

I'm awaiting the Asus G53 and G73JW eagerly. If you want some info on them, we have a whole thread on notebookreview's forums with confirmations on GPU and pricing.

ablahblah, i was wondering how much i could sell my ASUS that i have now so tat when the new one comes out and may have a few hundred to put toward it

Keep that G1S cool.  According to posts on a CAD forum I am on, that model is noted for burning up. Those who own them are just waiting for them to crash. Mine burned up about a month ago but I had 2 weeks left on my extended warranty.  Motherboard and graphics was all replaced.

oh man,
This bad boy has takin a beating, and its still running as good as when i first got it, 4 YEARS AGO!!! :D ,
but yes, it gets VERY HOT, and sounds like a jet engine!
Been playing consistent on it as well, sometimes 12 hour days, it was even lefton for 2 weeks sraight :O
 
But this bad boy refuses to give up, i nick named it rocky :D

MBP's and this dell d820 suffer from some fun firing up on my end. dell used to reach 73c idle, 79C load starting up, MBP hit 59C idle, 79C load. replacing the TIM on the dell helped though, now idles at 59C and loads at 65C :D
