are we ever going to c it so we can have 6 monitor support or run games like gta 4 at max settings.

what i heard about gta 4.. to run at highest settings you need a 1.5 gb gpu and sli/cf wont help, you need it on a single card. i am sure we are going to see more games liek this in the near future.


 i hear they are making a 4GB 5970 soon so why not a 2 gb 5870

yes there is a 4GB 5970, I thought justin posted about it already, and yes gta 4 needs 1.5GB of ram to max out.

I posted a pic of one installed in a system 4 months a go. lol

there will be a 5770 5 port and a 5870 6 port, was on the schedule to be released March 11th, but got pushed back.
 
3 port 5870's with 2 Gb memory are in the hands of reviewers now, so usually that means that they will hit the shelves in a month

will never happen...it is impossible. 250-280 watts for the 480.. so can't make a dual 300 watt card...

well 3 ports is all i need anyway lol. new card at xmas.... great!!! but on the other side of the coin now i am waiting again oh well will it ever end?

maybe i should get my self a cheapo to hold me over

I read somewhere that they are coming out with a dual before the end of the year, but who knows, I know what you are talking about justin but maybe they are working on it.

they might come out with a dual card, but it won't be based on the 480, nor the 470, unless they can get the new silicon revisions to perform a lot better, I think the 470 is running 220-240 watts..
I have heard that there should be some ultra versions this summer like the 8800 series had, if/when the new revision can clock decently.. I really hope that Fermi creates a great new foundation for the next generation Nvidia card .. I hope..
