I finally got my hands on a 5970 card that I was planning on using with an Apple 30'' display. I have been reading a little bit and thought it might be cool to instead buy 3x (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824001317) and try Eye Infinity.
Does anyone have any experience with this? Would it be worth to replace a 30'' for 3x 23'' monitors? Anything else I should know? Thanks!! |

it's personal prefrence really, some like it and some don't Some can live with the bezels showing, some can't
There is another solution Ultra thin Bezel by Samsung They have a tri set-up and a 6 monitor set-up price is 1800-3100
I personally want to try out eyefinities on samsungs new monitor series for eyefinity with ultra thin bezels.

It's not released yet, but I had a thread going about it, asking if anyone else has heard about it, and Justin.kerr was kind enough to post it.
I've read it from a different site though, but literally states the same thing.
Just about what the estimated prices are set at.
And it's looking pretty good.
tri-setup is about equal to a 30" monitor

Wow! How much is each new monitor? That's the real question. Is a 0.5" thiner bezel worth the extra cash?

Looks like it will be around 516.00 per monitor (its 3100 for six apparently)- I don't know if they would charge more per monitor if you bought outside of the bundled 3 or 6 packs...
curious as to the specs of each monitor though- I would imagine pretty high end. |

Don't forget to count the amount of the stand that will be holding the displays.
triset up stands usually go from 200-500
