I found an extra monitor in the house and want to set it up as a secondary monitor, but I'm unsure where to plug it in. I figure I can either plug it into the GTX 670 (using a VGA-DVI adapter, since the monitor only has VGA) or plug it into the ASUS P8Z77-LX mobo. I don't know anything about attaching more than one monitor to a computer, so I was
hoping someone could give me some insight on where would be the best place to attach it.
The secondary monitor won't be used for gaming; it'll be used mostly for small tasks (like having Ventrilo or a browser open--for information or watching videos) while gaming or doing other tasks. Also, my current monitor is plugged into the first/top DVI slot. Thanks in advance. ![]() |

Your GTX 670 should have the two DVI ports, the one being used for your current monitor then a second port right next to that one. Just plug the new monitor in (via converter) to that second unused port.
